Maffitt Lake Farms was established in the southwest area of Des Moines in 1973 by the Antisdel family. What started out as a family farm soon budded into a first rate boarding and training facility.

Perched on top of a hill on 230 acres near Maffitt Lake Resevoir, Maffitt Lake Farms is the top hunter/jumper equestrian facility in Iowa.

The facilities include:

31 - 10x12 stalls
One - 60x162 indoor arena
Two - outdoor arenas, one with all weather footing
Seven large paddocks
Three 20-acre pastures. Each pasture contains a heated waterer, a lean-to weather shed and hay year round.

Full time farm management resides on the property to ensure equine safety and security. The quality of care at Maffitt Lake Farms is a source of pride for both management and employees.

Our goal is to provide a top quality environment for our equine tenants. This includes the best in feed, supplements, grooming, turnout and personalized care.
